EVENT DETAILS:
Group Discussion: English and Hindi
Group of participants will be given a topic and time of few
minutes, where they will have to discuss on the topic neatly and one-by-one.
Judges will decide the most capable and enigmatic contender with best
presentation of thoughts. The winner announced will be separate for Hindi and
English.
Fiction short-story writing– English and Hindi
Certain images will be shown to the
participants on a projector screen, based on which they have to write a short
story of predefined word limit, based on their fiction they could drag from the
images shown. They will have a time of 45 minutes, whereas the images will keep
rotating on the screen constantly. The winner announced will be separate for
Hindi and English.
Debate – English & Hindi
A topic will be put amongst a participating
group that will be allotted 10 minutes to put their views and keep a stand
against each other, rather in favour or against the topic. The winner announced
will be separate for Hindi and English.
TOPICS FOR DEBATE:
English:Reports suggest that
people residing in Metro cities are more vulnerable to those inhuman crimes of
the society as compared to the villagers. Is educating ourselves and succeeding
really becoming too harmful for individual safety?
Hindi:Bhartiyasanskriti k dwarapashchatya (western) sanskriti ka
binasochesamjheanusarankarnahumaresamajh k liyehanikarak ho sakta hai.
Poetry competition – English and Hindi
Participants will have to write poetry
based on the topic given on the spot. The time awarded will be of 30 minutes.
The winner announced will be separate for Hindi and English poetry.
Toggle – English and Hindi
The individual will have to speak on
a randomly picked diplomatic topic in front of a panel of judges, and when they
will say “TOGGLE”, the participant then has to speak exactly opposite of the
stream he was previously speaking. It should occur every time until the judges
say “TOGGLE”, later will go onto pick a winner. The winner announced will be
separate for Hindi and English.
Personal Interview:
It’s an
interesting interaction of a participant with a panel of four who would create
an atmosphere of interview. The interviewee will try to entangle the
participant in his own meanings. The judges will decide the best performer.
Just a Minute:
One-by-one,
the contestant will have to speak on a randomly picked topic for a maximum of
one minute in front of a panel of judges. The most presentable and fluent
participant who could do a package of talks in the time span will be declared
as the winner.
On the spot
writing:
A topic will
be allotted at the moment and the participants have to frame a story relating
to the topic. The participant with the best story creation will be honoured as
the winner. Story can either be in Hindi or in English.
Lyrics
writing:
A karaoke
(instrumental) of a popular Bollywood song will be played for an hour and the
participants will have to RE-WRITE the lyrics of the song in Hindi out of their
own creativity. The wordings should not match the original track.
Race of Words:
There will
be three rounds in this competition. In the first round, when a participant
will speak the first word, the next participant will have to speak another word
that relates with it. Second and third rounds will go on the same course but
the participants will have to speak Synonyms and Antonyms respectively. Judge’s
decision will be final.
Word Wizard:
A large word
will be given to the participants, out of which they will have to draw words
using the letters of the main word. This will grow tough as the participants
start getting eliminated. Judge’s decision will be final.
Article
Writing – English and Hindi
The
participants will have to write an enigmatic newspaper-like article on the
topic given on the spot. Winners for English and Hindi will be different.
Slogan
Writing – English and Hindi
The
participants will have to write five slogans based on the theme provided at the
time of competition. Winners for English and Hindi will be different.
Review
Writing:
The
participants will have to write a review of a piece of writing, in which they
will have to mention their thinking and opinion about it.
